Hi, I’m Dani! I’m a NYC-based dramaturg and creative producer specializing in new work.
Currently, I work at National Sawdust as their Senior Producer and Artistic Manager. I have previously worked for Paladin Artists Agency, LEMPICKA on Broadway, Lincoln Center, and Beth Morrison Projects. Independently, I have associate produced g a successful run of The Trouble With Dead Boyfriends off-Broadway, immersive walking tours, and readings for projects in development. I have served as the Vice President of Membership for the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas and the Director of Literary Development for The Workshop Theater. In my work now and in the future, I am dedicated to uplifting artists and celebrating the people who support them. What is a dramaturg?Dramaturgy, and being a dramaturg, can mean many different things to different people. For me, it means connecting with the artist to find out their creative goals for the piece - what is the story they’re trying to tell? how do they want the audience to feel? what do they want the audience to take away? - and using my training in story analysis, audience relations, and institutional practice to help them accomplish those goals.

What is a creative producer?Creative producing, in my case, means combining my years of experience as a producer and my years of experience as a liaison for artists and figuring out the perfect solution to bring the piece to a wider audience. Every project is unique and runs into its own conflicts and roadblocks on the path to production, whether ‘production’ means a small reading in your living room or a fully lit and costumed show on a stage. Whether your budget is Broadway-sized or shoestring, my goal is to make sure the meaning and feeling of your piece come across so that its journey can continue on.
